2008 Indiana High School Football Season
Indiana High School Football was featured on ESPN on Aug. 23, when Class 5A's #1 Carmel defeated Class 4A's #1 Indpls. Cathedral, 28-21.
Forest Park, in their first full year of varsity competition, joined the Pocket Athletic Conference. Tecumseh will become an independent for football, but will remain in the PAC for all other sports.
The White River Conference disbanded following the 2008 season after Lapel left for the Indiana Crossroads Conference.
Gary Wirt closed following the 2008-09 school year, leaving the Northwestern Conference with only three members.
